Awning Program

 St. John Main Street encourages downtown and community businesses to make visual enhancement improvements through the use of facade renovations, paint schemes, signage, and awnings.

 To create an interest in awnings downtown, St. John Main Street paid a portion of the costs associated with the selection and installation of the first three awning projects. These projects then became a visual representation of what impact enhancements and improvements can make. 

 Currently, the program consists of assistance to business and/or property owners that includes recommendations of historically accurate colors and designs, and the selection of manufacturers.

 Any St. John business is eligible for the program, and may apply for a revolving loan to aid in covering  the awning expense.
